Murray Yugin (Partner) Commercial Property

Murray qualified as a Solicitor as long ago as 1970 and was for many years head of the Property Department of a medium sized Holborn firm.  In 2002 Murray left Central London and started the present firm.


Murray has many years of experience in handling all matters relating to commercial leasehold and freehold properties.  He acts for a substantial number of major commercial property investors and handles when required large and complex transactions.


He is also experienced in dealing with all matters in preparation and negotiation of Leases of commercial building whether for investment or for private business occupation.

Jonathan Sheril (Partner) Company Commercial & Employment Law

Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and has worked for a number of medium/large sized central London law firms in their company/commercial departments and banking teams. He also spent a few years working in industry for one of Europe’s largest suppliers of transport glass as its commercial director.

Jonathan specialises in advising on acquisitions and disposals of both private and public companies, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, distribution, franchise and agency agreements. He also advises on banking documentation, from straight forward personal guarantees through to facility letters, syndicated loans and security documentation.

Clients range from individuals to corporates, both UK and international based, including the USA, Italy, Germany and India.

Jonathan also advises on non-contentious employment matters, including drawing up employment contracts for employers, as well as acting for employees on employment issues.

Michele Marrafino (Partner) Commercial Property

Michele is a solicitor in the commercial real estate department. Michele read Law at Queen Mary University of London achieving a first class honours degree and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP College of Law in Holborn achieving a Distinction.

Michele advises on a wide range of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, financing, developments, lettings and an array of Landlord and Tenant issues.

Michele is commercially minded, and always adopts a pragmatic and practical approach to meet clients’ objectives.

Matthew Charlton (Partner) Residential Conveyancing

Matthew studied law at the University of West London securing his Law Degree with honours and completing the Legal Practice Course in 2015 with Distinction, earning the Middlesex Law Society Award for Excellence in Law.


During this time, he worked as a caseworker for a number of charitable organisations.

Matthew was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors on 1st November 2017, having joined the firm in October 2015 as a Trainee Solicitor.

Matthew deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing, including freehold, leasehold and shared ownership sales and purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity and assists on commercial property transactions, litigation in the context of property and Wills and Probate matters.

Philip Benjamin (Consultant) Employment Law, Company & Partnership

Philip qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and has over 20 years' experience in private practice. In addition to his professional activities, he is a senior lecturer in law and is head of a university law team. He contributes to the teaching and development of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional law courses.


Philip's academic speciality is employment and discrimination law and he has made several television and radio appearances in connection with this topic. He holds a postgraduate masters degree in employment law and he has recently published a textbook on employment law and practice.


He was the former principal at Oakridge Law solicitors and is now delighted to be a member of the team at Yugin & Partners as a consultant, which will enable him to combine his professional and lecturing activities.

Barbara Corrie (Secretary)

Barbara joined the firm in its earliest days in 2002 and is Secretary to Murray Yugin as well as assisting other fee-earners in the firm. Barbara is well known to our established clients and has an excellent telephone manner so that she can assist our clients.
